Curly Lashes Vs. Falsies

How to win the ULTIMATE BATTLE!!

Let's face it. We curly lashed girls have the MOST annoying time trying to apply falsies. At one point after trying so many times, I just gave up and said that lashes are not for me. Some times you just want to add a little drama to an eye look that mascara alone cant keep up with!

Have no fear!

The curly lashed girl solution is here!!

Here is what you need!

  • Thin invisible lash banded lashes that have little spaces between.
  • Lashes that are not too thick
  • A DAMN good lash glue (Duo, Kiss)
  • Magnifying mirror
  • Patience
  • Patience
  • LOTS OF PATIENCE!
  • (Did I mention patience?)

Please note that mascara was NOT included in this list! Mascara tends to add more curl and definition to the lashes, making it difficult to manipulate.
As for the thin invisible lash banded lashes? See exhibit 'A'

(Mmmmmmmmmm whispies.....)

Why invisible strip?

As in comparison to their conventional counterparts, invisible strips, are more flexible/ easier to maneuver along the lash line in my experience.

These lashes with the spaces in between help your natural lashes have some space to blend and lay better with the falsies.

Why not thick lashes?

Your curly lashes are more than likely very thick, and trying to apply thick lashes in my experience tend to look more unnatural than anything else and it seems harder to blend. Sounds weird but that's how it went down for me.

Also, choose a lash that has great curvature so it blends better with your already curvaceous lashes.

What you need to do next, is comb through your lashes with a spoolie, to control the hair a bit.

Using your lash glue, apply it to the lash band and wait at least one minute to get tacky. Too 'goooy' will make the rest of the process a disaster.

Pull out that magnifying mirror, bend your head back a little and prepare to apply.

Place lash band at the middle of your lashes and as close to the lash line as possible. From there, use your fingers to shift lashes in place and press your lashes and the falsies together (while still takcy!)
This part is the part that requires the patience! You will need some practice but trust me it it worth it!

Let dry and that's it!
Tip! Do your eye liner before so you dont have to combat with the lashes after ;).

It personally took me about 3 tries to get this right, but now Im quite comfortable doing it!

There is hope for us curly lashed girls and dont let anyone tell you, you cant!
YES YOU CAN!

I tried to take a photo of my cute Valentine's Day makeup with my no name brand lashes. Sorry for the camera quality.

Im not going to lie, falsies do something for a makeup look that mascara alone cant do. It is remarkable. It makes the simplest beat, look like $1,000 bucks!

I hope that I could have helped you beauties out there and you can now win this battle!
