With so many loose powders on the market, it can be a little intimidating to choose the right one for your setting needs. Whether you want to set under the eyes or the entire face, Trust and believe when I tell you, the Milani Make it last setting powder is a novice and Makeup Artist dream come true!
These powders come in 4 shades:
Translucent Light to Medium
Translucent Medium to Deep
Translucent Banana
Radiant
The powder is extremely finely milled so it sets under eye areas perfectly without caking. You can use this to set all over the face and it doesn't leave any flash back and no white cast after application.
If you have very light skin but don't want a stark white setting powder, Translucent Light to Medium is worth a try. It is not pure white and has a touch of light yellow to brighten.
Translucent Banana has shimmer in it which I thought would be a glitter disco problem, however it blends in harmony with the skin to give the highlighted areas a little extra glow. NOT SHINE!
Medium to Deep is the perfect shade for dark skin tones as a highlight, just because it isn't too yellow and not red either. Best of all, it doesn't darken/oxidize over under eye concealer highlight.
Radiant is a pretty silvery pinkish, finely milled body shimmer that would flatter lighter skin tones. Applying with a large brush over the shoulders and décolletage will look stunning in any light.
To apply the setting powders I prefer to use a dense tapered brush or wide-flat foundation brush under the eye area. As for the rest of the face, a flat top buffer brush recommended.
Unlike other powder that a just pure silica and mica, the ingredients list is as follows:

These powders are a dream for combating oily skin as it keeps oil at bay for hours! Dry skin? No problem either as it wouldn't settle on top of the skin making you look dehydrated.
My only peeve about this product is how small it is! You only get 3.5 grams (0.12 oz) of product for US$12.00!! It is probably one of the best drugstore loose powders out here!
